Rangers Vs. Royals: Wednesday Lineups

The Texas Rangers once again head to Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City on Wednesday night, as they take on the Royals in the third game of a four-game series.

Ryan Dempster, Texas' prized acquisition at the trade deadline, gets the start for the Rangers on the mound.

Both Ned Yost and Ron Washington have announced the starting lineups for Wednesday night's contest, and they are as follows:

Texas Rangers

DH Ian Kinsler
SS Elvis Andrus
CF Josh Hamilton
3B Adrian Beltre
RF Nelson Cruz
2B Michael Young
LF David Murphy
C Geovany Soto
1B Michael Olt

SP Ryan Dempster

Kansas City Royals

CF David Lough
SS Alcides Escobar
LF Alex Gordon
DH Billy Butler
C Salvador Perez
3B Mike Moustakas
RF Jeff Francoeur
1B Eric Hosmer
2B Johnny Giavotella

SP Everett Teaford

Once again, Ron Washington elects to start Michael Young at second base, instead of Jurickson Profar -- despite Young's diminished defensive skills, and, well, diminished offensive skills.

Michael Olt, meanwhile, draws the start at first base with a lefty on the mound for KC.
