Rangers Vs. Royals Preview: Matt Harrison Looks To Give Texas Another Win

The AL-best Texas Rangers (80-54) will look to build on their 8-4 Labor Day win against the Kansas City Royals when they square off for Game 2 on Tuesday evening.

Yu Darvish was dominant in the series opener, perfect through 5 2/3 innings before giving up three runs in the bottom of the sixth.

Matt Harrison (15-8) will take the mound for Texas, looking to rebound from a disappointing performance in his last outing. On Wednesday against Tampa Bay, Harrison gave up seven runs and 12 hits in 5 1/3 innings, taking a loss. Harrison had given up just four hits in his two starts prior to that one, including pitching eight scoreless innings in an 8-0 win over the Twins.

Jeremy Guthrie (6-12) will pitch for the Royals. He gave up one run and 10 hits in his last outing against the Tigers.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. CT at Kauffman Stadium. It can be seen on Fox Sports Southwest.
