After Sunday's late-inning debacle against the Kansas City Royals, the Texas Rangers are now tied for the best record the American League with the New York Yankees.
But while that race might last all season, the Rangers turn their attention to the Yankees' biggest rival, the Boston Red Sox, this week.
The three-game series kicks off tonight as Yu Darvish (11-7, 4.38 ERA) faces off against Aaron Cook (2-5, 5.24 ERA). Darvish has a 6.82 ERA over his last five starts.
The second game of the series will see Ryan Dempster (5-5, 2.82 ERA) go for his first win as a Ranger. He'll be opposed by Jon Lester (5-9, 5.36 ERA).
The series wraps up with a day game in Boston on Wednesday as Matt Harrison (13-6, 3.17 ERA) takes on Josh Beckett (5-9, 4.54 ERA).
First pitch for Monday's game is scheduled for 6:10 CT and can be seen on Fox Sports Southwest.
