Shortstop Elvis Andrus left Sunday's game against the Kansas City Royals after failing to get a squeeze bunt down with the score tied in the late innings. Andrus eventually grounded out to end the at bat but would not come out to play the field in the ninth inning. Word from the Rangers dugout indicated that Andrus has a sore shoulder and is day-to-day.
Right shoulder soreness for Andrus. That's all we have at this moment.

Rangers say Andrus is day-to-day; don't appear overly concerned about it.

Alberto Gonzalez took over for Andrus at shortstop in the ninth inning.
