Rangers Vs. Royals Final Score: 3-Run Blast By Mitch Moreland Leads Texas To 5-3 Victory

The only hit of the game for Rangers first baseman Mitch Moreland was a three-run home run in the top of the seventh inning, and that hit proved to be the game winning play in their 5-3 win over the Kansas City Royals.

After the top of the seventh inning the Royals did put up a run in each of the bottom of the seventh and eighth innings to make it a two-run game. In the ninth inning the Rangers relief pitcher Alexi Ogando shut down the Royals which included a pair of strike outs to earn his second save of the season.

The Rangers also got a solid effort from starting pitcher Matt Harrison who pitched 6.2 innings allowed allowed eight hits, walked three but only gave up two runs to earn his 13th win of the season.
