Rangers Vs. Rays: Preview, TV Schedule And Starting Lineups

The Texas Rangers look to sweep away the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday night in Arlington, as the two teams conclude a three-game series in what could be a playoff preview.

Matt Harrison gets the start for the Rangers, looking for his 16th win of the season. Harrison has pitched very well this year, with a 15-7 record, 3.04 ERA and 1.22 WHIP. Harrison has struck out 101 batters in 169 innings of work on the season, while walking 48.

Texas's offense will face off against Alex Cobb. Cobb has pitched well for the Rays this year, to the tune of an 8-8 record, 4.32 ERA and 1.29 WHIP. In 102 innings, Cobb has struck out 76 while walking just 28.

Both Joe Maddon and Ron Washington have announced the starting lineups for the game, and they are as follows:

Tampa Bay Rays

LF Desmond Jennings
CF B.J. Upton
SS Ben Zobrist
DH Evan Longoria
1B Jeff Keppinger
2B Ryan Roberts
3B Elliot Johnson
C Jose Molina
RF Sam Fuld

SP Alex Cobb

Texas Rangers

DH Ian Kinsler
SS Elvis Andrus
CF Josh Hamilton
3B Adrian Beltre
RF Nelson Cruz
2B Michael Young
LF David Murphy
1B Mitch Moreland
C Luis Martinez

SP Matt Harrison

Rangers fans will notice that, once again, Young starts at second base, despite the fact that he has no business starting in the field for the Rangers. We'll see how this affects Harrison and his 51.3% ground ball rate tonight.

First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. CT from Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. Televised coverage can be found on FOX Sports Southwest.
