Rangers Vs. Twins: Texas Tries To Keep Offense Rolling Against Minnesota

The Texas Rangers (74-51) resume their four-game weekend series against the Minnesota Twins (51-74) on Saturday afternoon at Rangers Ballpark at Arlington.

The Rangers' bats have been red hot to start the series, producing 18 runs in the first two games against the Twins, highlighted by Adrian Beltre hitting for the cycle and knocking in three runs in Friday's 8-0 win. That win extended the Rangers' current winning streak to four games and they now lead Oakland in the AL West by six games while also putting them a game ahead of the New York Yankees for the best record in the American League.

Texas will turn to right-hander Ryan Dempster, who is 3-1 with the Rangers since being acquired at the end of July. Dempster is coming off of his best start for Texas when he gave up four hits and one run in eight innings to earn a win over the Baltimore Orioles.

Minnesota counters with left-hander Brian Duensing (3-8, 4.46 ERA), who has been up and down throughout the season for the Twins but gave up one earned run and five hits in six inning to earn a win in his last start against Oakland.

The game is scheduled to start at 3:05 CT and will be televised on Fox, with the radio broadcast on FM 103.3 ESPN.
