The Texas Rangers had a pair of their top prospects take part in the 2012 MLB Futures All-Star Game with short stop Jurickson Profar who played for the World Team, and third baseman Mike Olt who played for the United States. Both players are part of the Rangers Double-A affiliate and each earned a start in Sunday's All-Star Game.
Profar got the World team off to an early lead hitting a solo home run off of Jake Odorizzi which gave them an early 1-0 lead, and for the game he ended up going 2-for-3 from the plate.
As for Olt he started the game at third base and then made a switch to play first base, and at the plate he went a modest 1-for-5, with a RBI double and scored a run.
