MLB Futures Game 2012: Jurickson Profar Homers To Give World Team 1-0 Lead

Jurickson Profar is one of the top prospects in all of baseball and he wasted little time showing off some of his skills when he homered off of Kansas City's Jake Odorizzi in the first inning.

Profar is playing shortstop for the World Team and is just 19 years old and playing at the Double-A level. He was the Rangers 2011 Minor League Player of the Year as well as the South Atlantic League MVP while playing at Class-A Hickory.

Profar comes into the game hitting .292 for Double-A Frisco with 47 runs scored and six triples. He had a 29-game hitting streak earlier this season. He is currently rated as the top prospect in the Rangers minor league system. Profar is playing in his second straight Futures game having tripled in last year's game.
