The Texas Rangers spent a lot of money to sign pitcher Yu Darvish, but so far it has worked out. The Japanese pitcher is coming off probably his best game of the season on July 21 against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. In that start Darvish went seven innings, allowing only 2 runs on three hits. The win improved his record to 11-6 and dropped his ERA to 3.88.
The Chicago White Sox will counter Darvish with Chris Sale (11-3, 2.37). He's coming off his first loss since May 12, after losing to the Detroit Tigers on July 21. In the start against the Tigers he was shelled for five runs with seven hits while striking out six batters.
The game will start at 7:05 p.m. CDT from Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. Television coverage will be provided by TXA-21 with Radio coverage provided by 103.3 ESPN FM.
