Rangers Vs. Red Sox Preview: Wednesday Game Time, TV Info And More

After falling to the Boston Red Sox in the 9th inning Tuesday night, the Texas Rangers will look to take the rubber game of their three-game series tonight at the Ballpark in Arlington.

Derek Holland (6-5, 4.84 ERA) will take the mound for the Rangers, looking to rebound from his last start against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Holland was knocked around for nine hits and six earned runs in 6-2/3 innings, taking the loss in their 6-1 defeat on July 20.

Boston will counter with Josh Beckett (5-8, 4.53 ERA), who is also trying to get back on the winning side of things himself. Beckett has lost four of his last five decisions, including his last start against the Toronto Blue Jays, where he gave up seven hits and five runs, four earned, in six innings of work.

It is still unknown if Adrian Beltre will be able to play tonight after being hit in the helmet by Vincente Padilla late in Tuesday's game. While it looked bad, the Beltre and the Rangers might have gotten lucky when they learned Beltre did not suffer a concussion.
