MLB All-Star Game 2012: Joe Nathan Pitches Perfect Second Inning For American League

Most proably didn't expect Joe Nathan to be the first Ranger to make an impact at the 2012 All-Star Game in Kansas City.

Nathan faced three batters in the second inning, getting Carlos Gonzalez to ground out first base, Melky Cabrera to ground out to second and Ryan Braun to fly out to right field after Jose Bautista made a diving catch.

As for the Rangers batters, three are in the starting lineup. Josh Hamilton flew out to left field in the first inning and Adrian Beltre popped out to shortstop in the second inning. Mike Napoli is hitting eighth for the American League and will lead off the third inning.

The National League leads 5-0 after a five-run first inning off reigning AL MVP Justin Verlander.
