Rangers Vs. A's Final: Texas Wins 7-2

Despite issues with a bruised and battered starting rotation, the Texas Rangers continued their recent hot streak with a 7-2 win over the Oakland A's on Saturday night.

In front of yet another sellout at the Ballpark in Arlington, Texas got an impressive effort from rookie Martin Perez in his first career start, while their offense benefited from some untimely A's defense to get the win.

Perez final stat-line -- 5.1 innings, 2 earned runs and 6 hits, 6:1 K:BB -- wasn't dominant but it was more than enough in a game featuring two rookie starting pitchers.

Oakland rookie Tommie Milone was solid through four innings, but everything fell apart for the A's in the bottom of the fifth, when their defense allowed 5 unearned runs.

Josh Hamilton had one of his best efforts in weeks, going 2-4 with 1 HR and 4 RBI's to help Perez to his first career win.
