There have been some early fireworks early Tuesday night. After one inning in Arlington, the Rangers trail the Tigers 2-1.
Yu Darvish started off wild, walking Austin Jackson to lead off the game and then hitting Miguel Cabrera with a pitch two batters later. Prince Fielder made Darvish pay with a double to left center, scoring two runs and putting Texas in an early hole. Fielder advanced to third on a groundout, but Darvish induced a fly out to limit the damage.
Ian Kinsler cut the lead in half with a homer to lead off the bottom frame. Drew Smyly is starting for Detroit, and finished the first inning having allowed one hit and one walk.
