Left-hander Martin Perez was called up by the Rangers on Tuesday from Triple-A Round Rock, and will likely start on Saturday. In addition to losing Lewis, the Rangers have missed starters Neftali Feliz (elbow), Derek Holland (shoulder) and Alexi Ogando (groin) in the last three months. The Rangers have now started nine different pitchers in under 80 games this season.
Lewis is 6-6 with a 3.5 ERA so far this season, and has won 32 games dating back to 2009.
