Rangers Vs. Padres, Final Score: Josh Hamilton Returns, Texas Wins 7-3

Josh Hamilton returned from a stomach virus to help lead the Rangers' offensive attack on Tuesday, night taking a 7-3 win off of 11 hits in Petco Park against the Padres. Hamilton's two-run triple helped Texas mount a 3-1 lead in the third that they'd never relinquish. Hamilton extended the scoring by starting off the sixth inning with a single, the first of four hits that would give Texas a 6-1 lead.

The heart of the Rangers order - the 3-4-5 of Hamilton, Adrian Beltre and Nelson Cruz - went 7-of-13 with six RBIs and five runs (quote courtesy MLB.com)

He got us that triple to go ahead, and from that point, swinging the bat became contagious throughout the lineup," Washington said of Hamilton. "Cruz swung nice tonight, Elvis and [Ian Kinsler] battled nicely at the top of the lineup, it was a good night offensively."
