The Texas Rangers haven't faced the toughest of opponents in interleague play this season, and that won't change on Monday as they begin a three-game series with the last place San Diego Padres.
Monday will mark the first time that the Rangers have been to Petco Park. While the surroundings won't be familiar, Texas has seen Padres starter Jason Marquis (3-5, 6.60 ERA) before. Marquis has made two career starts against the Rangers and surrendered six runs over 12 innings.
For the Rangers, starter Matt Harrison (8-3, 3.54 ERA) will look to capitalize on the spacious dimensions of Petco Park. Harrison has thrown 16.1 consecutive scoreless innings entering Monday's start.
First pitch is scheduled for 9:05 CT, and the game will be broadcasted on Fox Sports Southwest.
