MLB Standings: Rangers Lead AL West By 3.5 Games

Despite going only 3-4 this past week, the Rangers are still holding onto first place in the AL West. The latest series saw the Rangers take two of three from the San Francisco Giants.

Coming in at second place is the Angels who are 3.5 games back of the Rangers, and are currently the only threat. So far this season the Angels and Rangers have split the six games they have played against each other.

The Mariners and Athletics are both nine and 9.5 games and are not likely to make a move on the Rangers anytime soon. The Rangers next series is a three-game interleague matchup at home against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
