Despite being blown out in a 10-3 loss to the Mariners on Tuesday night, the Rangers are fast approaching a record team ERA. Currently the Rangers' collective ERA sits at 3.32, just a hundredth of a point off of the team record of 3.31. The current mark is the best in the American League and fourth overall in MLB.
One aspect helping the bullpen is Texas' .287 team batting average and +93 run differential, both tops in the majors. Josh Hamilton added to that mark on Tuesday, hitting his 21st homer of the season in his return after an illness.
