Scott Feldman was credited with the loss in Tuesday night's defeat, but the Rangers bullpen allowed a six-run eighth and all but ended Texas' hopes of a comeback win in Arlington, eventually falling 10-3.
Feldman gave up four runs (two earned) over 4 2/3 innings and dropped to 0-3 on the year. A two-run homer from Josh Hamilton in the sixth cut the deficit to 4-3, but Alexi Ogando and Mike Adams — two of Texas' top bullpen arms — combined to allow six runs in the eighth. Adams allowed three runs (two earned) without recording a single out.
The loss broke a four-game winning streak for the Rangers. The teams will play the rubber match on Wednesday night before the Rangers head out for a road trip.
