Alexi Ogando Injury: Texas Rangers To Play Memorial Day Without Relief Pitcher

The Texas Rangers are likely going to pursue their fourth straight victory when they play the Seattle Mariners on Monday not only without their slugger Josh Hamilton, who will sit out to due to an upper respiratory infection, according to a report by Calvin Watkins of ESPNDallas.com, but also reliever Alexi Ogando.

Ogando has a bruised right hand after being hit in the eighth inning of Sunday's victory over the Toronto Blue Jays. Ogando said he iced the hand to help reduce any potential swelling and did a little throwing Monday afternoon.

"It's good, pretty good," Ogando said following a pitchers meeting. "Only one day off."

Ogando has one save with a 1.65 ERA on the season. He is expected to for Tuesday's game if needed.
