When the Rangers open up a three-game series on Monday night against the Seattle Mariners, they'll be without their top slugger. Josh Hamilton is not in the lineup, because of lingering upper respiratory issues. Per Anthony Andro, Hamilton hasn't felt right since last weekend's series against the Houston Astros.
Here's how Texas' lineup will look tonight against the Mariners, sans Hamilton.
2B Ian Kinsler
SS Elvis Andrus
DH Michael Young
3B Adrian Beltre
LF David Murphy
RF Nelson Cruz
C Mike Napoli
1B Mitch Moreland
CF Craig Gentry
SP Matt Harrison
Eric Wedge has also announced Seattle's starting lineup, and it is as follows:
DH John Jaso
LF Chone Figgins
RF Ichiro Suzuki
C Jesus Montero
1B Justin Smoak
2B Kyle Seager
3B Alex Liddi
CF Michael Saunders
SS Brendan Ryan
SP Kevin Millwood
No, it's not an imposing lineup that Harrison will be facing tonight, but the Mariners did just take two-of-three against them last week. We'll see if Harrison and the Hamilton-less Rangers can change Texas' fortune against Seattle on Monday night.
