Josh Hamilton's three-run bomb in the first inning served as a catalyst for a Texas Rangers onslaught as Ron Washington's ball club scored 8 runs on Rick Porcello before three outs could be recorded. 7 of the 9 hitters in the Rangers lineup have already recorded a hit, and the Detroit Tigers face a 9-run deficit after just two innings.
Porcello was finally bounced early in the second after throwing a total of 63 pitches. Porcello gave up 10 hits, 9 runs (8 earned) and walked one batter. Duane Below has been called on to relieve the starting pitcher of his duties.
Also, Adrian Beltre has left the game in the second inning with an apparent left hamstring injury and has been replaced by Alberto Gonazlez. We will have more as soon as information is released.
