Scott Feldman Likely To Start On Wednesday Due To Friday's Rain Delay

With Friday night's game being rained out between the Texas Rangers and Detroit Tigers, it means that the Rangers will likely need Scott Feldman to make a spot start on Wednesday against the New York Yankees.

So far this year Feldman has only pitched 2 1/3 innings this year and has not thrown more than 20 pitches against major league since March 26, but Feldman said he is ready:

"I'll be ready for it," said Feldman, who pitched 1 1/3 innings in Thursday's game. "There's only so much I can do. When I'm not in the game, I try to stay ready by throwing bullpens. Last night, I was able to see some hitters up there, so that's always nice to get in some games."

Feldman made 78 starts from 2008-2010, but he moved to the bullpen late in 2010 after struggling as a starter and has been a reliever for the Rangers ever since.
