Rangers Vs. Tigers: Game 2 Rained Out, Doubleheader Scheduled For Saturday

The only thing that can slow down the red-hot Rangers is Mother Nature.

Friday night's game against Detroit — the second in a four-game series — has been rained out. The first game will be at 1:05 p.m. ET Saturday and the second will be at 7:05 p.m. ET.

The rain in Detroit began about 90 minutes before the scheduled start as Texas' batting practice was canceled and the tarp was brought on. Despite a forecast that was less than promising, the game began in a rain delay and was eventually called about a half-hour after the scheduled start time of 7:05 p.m. ET. The Rangers are in the midst of a seven-game winning streak.

Matt Harrison was scheduled to pitch for the Rangers against Detroit's Rick Porcello on Friday. Neftali Feliz and Justin Verlander were scheduled to pitch Saturday night. The pitching matchups will remain in the same order, with Harrison and Porcello going in the day game.
