Texas Rangers pitcher Yu Darvish is starting to get comfortable with himself playing in Major League Baseball. His debut was a bit rocky, but that didn't last long.
Darvish told the Dallas Morning News through a translator that he feels like he's headed in the right direction. Since allowing those four runs in the first inning April 9 against the Seattle Mariners, Darvish has given up just three earned runs in 16 2-3 innings.
He also gave up just one earned run and two hits over 6 1/3 innings against the Detroit Tigers on Thursday.
"I think the biggest improvement is just the consistency of my command, Darvish said. "I think it's getting close to where I want to be."
"It's hard to be perfect right away, in a short amount of time," Darvish added. "But I think I am slowly going in the right direction."
