In the fourth game of the Texas Rangers series against the Seattle Mariners, Derek Holland has continued the Rangers' starting pitchers domination of their AL West rival.
The 25-year old left-hander has thrown 90 pitches, giving up only 3 hits and 1 earned run with 6 strikeouts and 0 walks in his second start this season.
Michael Young has supplied most of the offense for Texas, driving in Ian Kinsler in the first and hitting his first home run of the season in the fifth, a two-run shot off Jose Vargas.
Vargas has done a good job with the rest of the Rangers batting order, allowing only 6 hits while striking out 5 and walking 1.
It's been a crisply played game for the most part, as both Vargas and Holland have efficiently gone through the batting lineup twice.
