The Texas Rangers continue their Cactus League play against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday, while coming off the business end of a 6-3 decision to the Chicago White Sox on Thursday.
Rangers manager Ron Washington said after Thursday's loss that he was pleased with pitching against the White Sox. Washington said he like Michael Kirkman's command, despite him giving up a home run to Gordon Beckham.
The Los Angeles Dodgers are coming off a 7-2 victory against the Oakland Athletics on Thursday. The Dodgers are playing through their schedule with unfortunate news of reliever Kenley Jansen being sent to the hospital with an irregular heartbeat.
Jansen was soon released from the hospital and the situation doesn't appear to be serious, but Jansen's health has to be concern.
The Rangers and Dodgers get started at 2:05 p.m. CST. Here is a link to the Rangers' schedule.
