If this were 2006 or so, life would be a bit harder for the Texas Rangers and their fans. Albert Pujols reported to camp today, and suffice to say, he looked quite odd donning an Angels uniform as opposed to the Cardinals uniform that he's worn his entire career. Pujols didn't destroy the Rangers in the World Series last year, save for Game 3, but he'll have plenty of at bats in Arlington in the next decade to pad his gaudy career stats. Luckily for the Rangers, Pujols is now on the wrong side of his prime, so that proposition isn't half as scary as it once was.
↵On the same day that Pujols reported to camp with the Angels, Manny Ramirez announced that he's going to sign with the Oakland A's. Ramirez still has to serve a 50 game suspension since he failed a drug test last year, and who knows who effective he'll even be when he does resume his MLB career.
↵Five or six years ago, having both Pujols and Ramirez in the AL West would have given Texas fans nightmares. In 2012, though, it doesn't seem so bad, does it?
