Rangers vs. A's starting lineups: Adrian Beltre to DH, Michael Young at 3B

New, 1 comment

The Texas Rangers need just one win over the Oakland A's in this three-game series to clinch the A.L. West division title, and they'll start the series with Adrian Beltre at DH.

Michael Young will be playing at third base on Monday night and hitting sixth, while Beltre will maintain his No. 4 spot in the lineup. Josh Hamilton will be in center field, with David Murphy and Nelson Cruz holding down the corners. It's far from the ideal defensive lineup, but one that is likely needed with Beltre still dealing with a shoulder strain.

The starting lineups for both teams:

Rangers:

1. Ian Kinsler - 2B
2. Elvis Andrus - SS
3. Josh Hamilton - CF
4. Adrian Beltre - DH
5. Nelson Cruz - RF
6. Michael Young - 3B
7. David Murphy - LF
8. Mike Napoli - C
9. Mitch Moreland - 1B

Martin Perez is on the mound.

A's:

1. Coco Crisp - CF
2. Jonny Gomes - DH
3. Yoenis Cespedes - LF
4. Chris Carter - 1B
5. Josh Reddick - RF
6. Josh Donaldson - 3B
7. Stephen Drew - SS
8. Derek Norris - C
9. Adam Rosales - 2B

Jarrod Parker pitches for Oakland.
