Baseball America's Jim Callis took to Twitter today, answering questions about his own personal top 100 prospects list. Callis was asked about a few Rangers prospects and where they'd land on his list, and to nobody's surprise, Jurickson Profar ranks highly with him. Callis currently has Profar ranked as the fifth best prospect in baseball, which is considerably high (and deserved) praise, especially when you take into account that Profar won't even turn 20 years old until February... 2013.
↵Callis also said that he would rank Yu Darvish fourth overall had he placed him in his top 100, which would push Profar to No. 6. Darvish, though, remains unsigned and the Rangers have just a week left to negotiate with him, otherwise he will continue his career in Japan.
↵Callis also ranks lefty Martin Perez No. 21 overall, giving the two-time defending American League champion Rangers three of the top 25 prospects in the game -- assuming Darvish and the Rangers eventually come to a contract.
↵The future looks quite bright for the Rangers.
