The Rangers will look to take another series Wednesday, hours after Evan Longoria and their own bullpen delivered a combo punch to the gut. Starting for the Rangers is Colby Lewis (4-5, 3.90), who struggled early in his last start after a stretch of six strong starts. Lewis allowed six runs (two unearned) in the first two innings before righting the ship and pitching four more scoreless.
David Price (6-4, 3.54) will oppose Lewis for the Rays. Price is on the opposite path, struggling for a few starts before dominating in his most recent outing (7 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 12 K) against the Indians.
Elvis Andrus is back in the lineup for the Rangers after sitting out with a bruised foot. He will bat in his usual second spot. Craig Gentry will man center field, and Mike Napoli will give Mitch Moreland the day off at first.
First pitch is scheduled for 12:10 CDT at the Trop. The game will air locally on FSSW.
