Rangers Vs. Royals: Derek Holland Takes On Luke Hochevar

The Texas Rangers look for a quick two-game sweep of the Kansas City Royals tonight as Derek Holland takes the mound against Kansas City right hander Luke Hochevar

The Rangers managed to beat the Royals last night 5-4, but needed 11 innings to come away with the win after Neftali Feliz blew the save in the ninth inning.

Derek Holland will look to earn his first win in nearly a month (April 22) - and look to turn in his second consecutive quality start. Holland lasted only six innings against the Angels in his last start, but only allowed two runs on six hits while walking three and striking out four. Holland will look to be more economical with his pitches tonight as Texas looks for the brief two-game sweep of Kansas City.

Former first-round draft pick Luke Hochevar will face off against Holland and the Rangers tonight. Hochevar is pitching well, to the tune of a 1.20 WHIP and .243 BAA this year, despite a 4.87 ERA.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. CDT.
