Rangers Vs. Blue Jays: Derek Holland Looks To Snap Texas' Skid

Toronto Blue Jays (11-12) at Texas Rangers (14-9)
Probable Starting Pitchers: Jo-Jo Reyes (0-2, 6.20 ERA), Derek Holland (3-1, 4.39 ERA)

After sweeping the Kansas City Royals this past weekend, the Rangers have been knocked around by Toronto. Both Colby Lewis and Matt Harrison have been shelled in the first two games of a four game set against the Blue Jays, leaving the Rangers looking to salvage a split.

On Wednesday night, Derek Holland looks to right Texas' pitching woes.

Holland will look to improve on his 3-1 record, as well as his 4.39 ERA. Despite receiving credit for the win in his last start, Holland allowed five earned runs in seven innings against Kansas City - his second straight start of allowing five earned runs. Holland's secondary numbers are still sharp, as he boasts a 1.28 WHIP and a 25/7 SO to BB ratio on the young season.

Holland will be opposed by Jo-Jo Reyes of the Blue Jays - and Texas' hitters should be looking forward to that. Reyes is 0-2 with a 6.20 ERA on the year to go along with a 1.77 WHIP. He's allowed 28 hits in 20.1 innings of work this year.

Tonight's matchup is ideal to snap Texas' two game losing streak and return to their winning ways.

First pitch is scheduled for 8:05 p.m. EST, 7:05 p.m. CST.
