Colby Lewis, Rangers Look To Break Pattern Vs. Angels

Los Angeles Angels (10-6) at Texas Rangers (11-5)
Probable Starting Pitchers: Matt Palmer (0-0, 7.71 ERA), Colby Lewis (1-1, 5.25 ERA)

The Rangers opened their season by winning their first three series. Since then, they have gone to Detroit and New York and won Game 1 but have suffered four tough losses afterward to lose both series. Tonight, fresh off of another promising series start, Colby Lewis will look to get the team back on the series winning road.

Lewis starts after taking a paternity leave for the birth of his child. His first two starts were shaky, as he battled to beat Boston on the second day of the season, then struggled in the team’s first loss of the season in Baltimore. That was ten days ago, so he’ll be well rested but may have to shake off a little rust.

Opposing Lewis is Matt Palmer. Palmer also last started ten days ago and struggled through 4.2 innings in a 6-5 loss to the Blue Jays. With Jered Weaver looming Wednesday, the Rangers will want to take advantage of what appears on paper to be a positive matchup.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 CT. You can catch the game locally on Fox Sports-Southwest. Follow the game live with other fans on Lone Star Ball.
