Rangers Vs. Yankees: Alexi Ogando Draws Rubber Match Start On Sunday Night Baseball

Texas Rangers (10-4) vs. New York Yankees (8-5)
Starting Pitchers: Alexi Ogando (2-0, 0.00 ERA), C.C. Sabathia (0-1, 1.45 ERA)

Alexi Ogando will look to earn his third win in as many starts tonight when the Texas Rangers take on the New York Yankees and C.C. Sabathia on Sunday Night Baseball. Tonight's game is the rubber match of the series as well with the two teams having split the first two games of the three-game set.

Ogando has been nothing short of spectacular in his first two major league starts, pitching 13 innings between the two starts without allowing a run. Ogando has only surrendered four hits and issued three walks and has struck out eight batters in the 13 innings of work. Ogando, who normally pitches out of the bullpen, was given a chance to start thanks to Tommy Hunter's injury sending him to the disabled list.

Ogando's toughest test will be tonight as he not only is taking on the New York Yankees' lineup, but he'll be matched up against New York ace C.C. Sabathia. Even further, tonight will be a national broadcast on Sunday Night Baseball.

First pitch is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. EST, 7:00 p.m. CST. Televised coverage can be found nationally on ESPN.
