Rangers Vs. Yankees: Derek Holland, Rangers Take On Freddy Garcia, Yanks

Texas Rangers (10-3) at New York Yankees (7-5)
Probable Starting Pitchers: Derek Holland (2-0, 2.25 ERA), Freddy Garcia (0-0, 9.00 ERA)

So far, so good for Texas in their first trip to the Bronx since the 2010 ALCS. Matt Harrison improved to 3-0 last night for Texas as the Rangers topped the Yankees 5-3. Today, Derek Holland will look to become Texas' second lefty to start out the season 3-0 as Holland draws the start against Freddy Garcia and the New York Yankees.

Holland has pitched six innings in each of his first two starts, allowing three runs in his first start against Seattle and allowing no runs in his most recent start against Baltimore. Holland has given up 12 hits on the year and has walked just three batters while striking out 11 so far in 2011.

Garcia will be making his first start for the Yankees. He's pitched only one inning in relief in 2011 thanks to New York's schedule allowing them to skip their fifth starter. Garcia went 12-6 with a 4.64 ERA for the White Sox last season.

First pitch is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. EST, 12:05 p.m. EST.
