Neftali Feliz's Start Today

Neftali Feliz just left his Spring Training start against the Dodgers today after four innings. He allowed three hits -- one on a misplay by Julio Borbon -- and a run. Most importantly, his fastball was advertised and his slurve had devastating movement through all four innings, and he got five strikeouts and allowed just a single walk.

By my count, he threw seven slurves, three for balls, two for swinging strikes. He also managed two swinging strikes on the change up. The cutter is still a work in progress, but that's, like, bonus pitch.

Feliz staying in the pen still wouldn't be the worst thing in the world this year, but he is looking like a very capable starter this spring. It's making me tingly.

UPDATE: Not sure if he's serious, but. . .
