It took over six innings, but the Rangers finally picked up some runs off of Rays starter David Price. Mike Napoli took Price deep in the seventh inning for a two-run home run, giving the Rangers a 2-1 lead.
Adrian Beltre led the inning off with a single into left field, and advanced to second on a wild pitch by Price. Napoli then crushed Price's offering into the left field stands, giving the Rangers their first lead of the game.
Colby Lewis has kept Tampa Bay's bats in check through six innings. Lewis' only hit allowed was to Desmond Jennings, who took Lewis deep in the fourth inning, giving the Rays a 1-0 lead.
Lewis has walked two batters in the game and has struck out six through his first six innings of work -- with three of those strikeouts coming against third baseman Evan Longoria.
