Rays Vs. Rangers, Game 3: David Price and Colby Lewis Square Off

The Texas Rangers will look to regain their home field advantage as they hit the road in Tropicana Field to take on the Tampa Ray Rays on Monday night. The Rangers 32-year old right-hander Colby Lewis will take the hill to face off against David Price takes the hill for Tampa Bay, while the Rangers counter with their ace pitcher David Price.

These two pitchers met previously, with the Rangers prevailing in a 3-0 defeat of the Rays back in June. Both pitchers pitched exceptionally well, until David Price finally let down in the 8th inning by giving up two runs driven in by Elvis Andrus to put the game away for the Rangers. Lewis was phenomenal, as he went eight strong innings with no earned runs and eight strikeouts, and proved that he could handle a potent lineup like Tampa Bay's.

The focus of Game 3 will be squarely on David Price, as his past struggles with the Rangers have now become common. Price is 0-3 with a 5.67 ERA in six career regular season starts versus the Rangers. Comparatively, Lewis carries a 3-0 record with a 4.15 ERA in three career regular season starts versus the Rays. The Rangers will be counting on the Lewis' previous successes, and Price's lack of success tonight. Game 3 between the Rangers and Rays is set for Monday at 5:07.
