Rangers Vs. Cardinals: David Freese Walk Off Homer Forces Game 7

David Freese's walk off home run in the 11th inning gave the St. Louis Cardinals an improbable 10-9 win over the Texas Rangers in Game 6 of the 2011 World Series. The Cardinals were down to their final strike on two different occasions and came through with big hits to tie and eventually win the game.

For Texas moving on from this game could prove to be difficult. Neftali Feliz came was one strike away in the bottom of the ninth from delivering the Rangers their first World Series title before David Freese tripled off the wall to tie the game. Then after Josh Hamilton put the Rangers back up 9-7 with a two run home run, Darren Oliver and Scott Feldman failed to hold the lead.
