Rangers Vs. Cardinals Score: Adrian Beltre, Nelson Cruz Homers Power Texas To 7-4 Lead

Back-to-back home runs by Adrian Beltre and Nelson Cruz have given the Texas Rangers their largest lead of Game 6 as they lead the St. Louis Cardinals 6-4.

In his second inning of relief, Lance Lynn served up a long ball to Beltre who untied the game with a long homer to right center. Cruz followed with his postseason record eighth homer to left field to give Texas a little more cushion. Lynn followed with a strike out of Mike Napoli and then gave up a single to David Murphy.

Derek Holland attempted to bunt Murphy over but Lynn pounced on it and fired a strike to second to nab Murphy. Tony La Russa then went to the bullpen replacing Lynn with Octavio Dotel to face Ian Kinsler with a runner at first and two outs. A passed ball advanced Holland to second and Kinsler punched a single into center field that scored Holland to make the score 7-4. Dotel finally struck out Elvis Andrus to bring an end to the inning.
