Rangers Vs. Cardinals: Michael Young Makes Up For Error With RBI Double

The Rangers once again made the Cardinals pay for some suspect defense as they grabbed the lead back 4-3 in the top of the fifth inning.

Josh Hamilton popped up routinely to third baseman David Freese who inexplicably dropped the ball allowing the Texas outfielder to reach safely. Michael Young quickly made up for his fourth inning error with a deep double to left center that scored Hamilton to give the Rangers back the lead at 4-3. Freese's error was the Cardinals third of the game already.

Salas then retired Adrian Beltre and Nelson Cruz for the first two outs of the inning. Tony La Russa then called for the intentional walk to Mike Napoli and Salas struck out pinch hitter David Murphy to end the inning.
