Cardinals Vs. Rangers Score: Yadier Molina Single Gives St. Louis Early Lead

The Texas Rangers have once again ran into difficulties in the field and the result is an early 2-0 lead by the St. Louis Cardinals

After a scoreless first inning by both teams, St. Louis started the top half of the second with lead-off walks to Matt Holiday and Lance Berkman. Rangers' starter C.J. Wilson got David Freese to fly out to right for the first out of the inning before Yadier Molina drove home the games first run with a single to left field. David Murphy had trouble picking up the hit and was charged with an error on the play allowing Berkman to reach third.

Scott Schumaker then grounded to Rangers first baseman Mitch Moreland who bobbled the ball before tagging first for the out. Berkman scored on the play to extend the Cardinals lead to 2-0. Had Moreland fielded the ball cleanly, then he could have possibly prevented Berkman from scoring.

Nick Punto flied out to end the inning on a nice diving catch by Murphy in left.
