We have a few series previews out there from SB Nation sites to go along with our own, if you just can't get enough World Series hype. Is that possible?
↵First, Beyond the Boxscore has a lengthy preview from their statistical point of view. Bill Petti makes reference to how much better the Rangers are, and in particular is not impressed with the Cardinals' run prevention after park and league considerations. He also, however, picks the Cardinals because the Rangers' starting pitching has not been good in the postseason.
↵At Baseball Nation, Jeff Sullivan previews the Rangers or curious Cardinals fans. This isn't much a Rangers fan doesn't already know, but it's a nice feeling reading a Mariners fan talking about how awesome your franchise is.
↵Viva El Birdos compares the two teams' pitching staffs. They make the case that, for all the offensive might in the two squads, a cold game in a pitchers' park started by two aces might make game one a pitchers' duel. They also offer this amazing video of Tony LaRussa on To Tell the Truth. The concept of a world where Tony LaRussa can go on TV and not be recognized is bizarre to me.
