Rangers Vs. Tigers Score: Austin Jackson Homers, Cuts Texas' Lead To 9-4

It doesn't look like the Tigers are going quietly into the night.

With two outs in the fifth inning, Austin Jackson homered off of Derek Holland, cutting Texas' lead to 9-4. The homer was Jackson's second hit of the night, as he led the game off with a single, but was erased on the basepaths by a double play by Ryan Raburn.

Unfortunately for Holland, the homer chased him, making him ineligible for the clinching win -- assuming the Rangers hang on. Holland only lasted four and 2/3 innings, surrendering four runs on seven hits, striking out five while walking none. Holland, though, did give up three home runs.

Ron Washington called upon Scott Feldman to finish the fifth inning, and he retired Raburn, thanks to Josh Hamilton. Raburn drove Feldman's offering deep to left field, and Hamilton made an excellent catch, leaping up against the left field wall at full speed to make the grab.
