Michael Young picked a good time to get his postseason average over .200.
Young doubled into the left field corner in the bottom of the third, scoring Elvis Andrus from second and Josh Hamilton from first, tying the game at 2-2.
Detroit's starter Max Scherzer had retired the first batter of the inning, Ian Kinsler, on a ground out to third base. Scherzer followed that up with a walk to Andrus before Hamilton singled into left field, putting runners on first and second with one out.
Young then laced a double into the left field corner, easily scoring both runners and knotting the game up at 2.
