Rangers Vs. Tigers Score: Jhonny Peralta Homers, Tigers Lead 2-0

Another inning, another solo home run for Detroit.

This time, it was Detroit's shortstop doing the damage. Jhonny Peralta homered off of Derek Holland, extending Detroit's lead to 2-0 in the second inning.

Once again, Holland left his two seam fastball up, and caught too much of the plate as Peralta was able to drive the ball out to right field for the opposite field home run.

To Holland's credit, both home runs have been solo shots. The trouble has not been exacerbated by walks -- so far. If Holland continues to leave balls up, the Tigers will chase Holland sooner rather than later.

Offensively, Elvis Andrus singled for the Rangers and stole second, but cleanup hitter Michael Young was unable to score Andrus.

Texas will send Adrian Beltre, Mike Napoli and Nelson Cruz to the plate in the bottom half of the second inning.
