ALCS: Rangers Vs. Tigers Score: Delmon Young Gives Tigers 2-1 Lead

Delmon Young has given Justin Verlander a lead to work with. Young's two out, solo home run in the bottom of the fourth has given the Tigers a 2-1 lead in Game 5 of the ALCS.

C.J. Wilson started off the inning by walking Miguel Cabrera, but then seemingly got out of trouble as Victor Martinez grounded into a double play. Young, though, had other ideas, as he homered with two outs off of Wilson.

The home run was the second one allowed by Wilson today, both being solo shots. Alex Avila tied the game with a homer in the third inning.

Wilson's pitch count is now at a reasonable 60 through four innings.

Texas' offense still has yet to strike again off of Verlander, as both of Texas' hits have come in the first inning. Through four innings, Verlander has allowed one run on two hits, while walking one and striking out three.
