Rangers Vs. Tigers: Josh Hamilton Gives Rangers 1-0 Lead

So far, so good for the Rangers in Game 3 of the ALCS.

Texas started the game off with three consecutive singles by Ian Kinsler, Elvis Andrus and Josh Hamilton.

Kinsler jumped on Doug Fister’s first pitch of the game, lacing it into left field for a single. Andrus followed with a seeing-eye single into right field, after failing to get a bunt down. With runners on the corners, Hamilton floated a single just beyond Jhonny Peralta’s reach, scoring Kinsler.

The Rangers had a golden opportunity to add more runs, but unfortunately for Texas, Michael Young was once again batting cleanup. Young wasted no time grounding into a 6-4-3 double play, helping to squash Texas’ rally.

Fister would escape the inning getting Adrian Beltre to strike out to end the top half of the first.
